Moxy Hotel wins ICI’s Tourism Project of the Year 12 February 2021
The winners of the Irish Construction Industry Awards 2020 were revealed at an online event on Wednesday night 10th February.
We were delighted to hear the Moxy Hotel had been awarded Tourism & Hospitality Project of the Year. Fending off some worthy competition from excellent projects like Roe & Co Distillery & Visitor Experience and Hogs Head, Boutique Golf Hotel & Clubhouse, the Moxy took prime position in this year’s category.
Designed by MCA and built by Connack Construction, this project was completed in 2019 and included the repurposing of a 1970’s office building into an iconic and bohemian-style hotel located in the heart of Dublin city. It is owned by the Marriott Group, accommodation includes 158 rooms, over a ground floor reception, bar and restaurant and an adjacent separate retail/restaurant/cafe unit.
This boutique hotel’s design is both calm and elegant in composition, creating a much-needed reimagined urban space and modern hospitality experience for young travellers staying in the heart of the capital.
