Hospitality with Moxy01 November 2019

The stylish new boutique hotel ‘The Moxy’ located in the heart of the city centre has opened in Dublin 1. A contemporary design, the hotel is part of an exciting transformation of a developing quarter located just off O’Connell Street. Attracting next-Gen travellers, the Moxy brand is synonymous with ‘buzzy and stylish communal spaces, seamless self-service and spacious accommodation’.

MCA Architects began working on the project in 2015 and were novated to Conack Construction Ltd in 2017 as a design build development . The project included the refurbishment of an original 1970’s 4-storey office block and transforming it to an elegant 7 storey hotel building, fronting Sackville Place and Marlborough Street.

Breathing new life into Dublin 1, the accommodation includes 157 rooms, over a ground floor reception, bar and restaurant and an adjacent separate commercial unit. The interior fit-out is fresh with tech-enabled bedrooms, vibrant lobby spaces and warm, modern furnishings. Interiors are a mix of materials, providing a bohemian, spirited feel and delivering a fun guest experience in line with the Moxy Marriott brand.
